Dear friends and colleagues, it is our honor and privilege to invite you to participate in the 1st Congress of the Serbian Association for Skin Cancers (SUKK), which will be held in Belgrade, Serbia, on April 11-12, 2025. The Serbian Association for Skin Cancer Congress is a national event with international participation. The Serbian Association for Skin Cancers is the successor of the Serbian Association for Dermoscopy, which was founded in 2002 in Belgrade.

U Beogradu otvoren 1. kongres Srpskog udruženja za karcinome kože

U Beogradu je 11.4.2025. godine počeo Prvi kongres Srpskog udruženja za karcinome kože (SUKK), nacionalni skup sa međunarodnim učešćem, koji predstavlja važan korak u unapređenju borbe protiv raka kože u regionu.

Kongres, koji će trajati do 12. aprila, organizuje Srpsko udruženje za karcinome kože – naslednik Srpskog udruženja za dermoskopiju, osnovanog 2002. godine u Beogradu.

Događaj okuplja veliki broj domaćih i stranih stručnjaka, a poseban značaj skupu daju prisustvo renomiranih svetskih imena iz oblasti onkologije i dermatologije, među kojima su dr Alesandro Testori i dr Aleksander Eggremont. Njihovo učešće dodatno potvrđuje važnost kongresa, ali i prepoznatljivost srpske stručne zajednice na međunarodnom nivou.

Kroz bogat program koji obuhvata predavanja, radionice i diskusije, učesnici će razmeniti iskustva i najnovija saznanja u dijagnostici, lečenju i praćenju pacijenata sa rakom kože. Poseban akcenat stavljen je na unapređenje saradnje i edukaciju, naročito u oblasti dermoskopije, dok će poseban segment kongresa biti posvećen prezentaciji višegodišnjeg projekta iz oblasti teledermoskopije – prvi put prikazanog u ovom formatu u regionu.

This is a great opportunity for all doctors and scientists involved in treating skin cancer patients to meet, discuss, and exchange their clinical experiences, interests, and the latest advancements in this field. The ambition is that these meetings will enhance cooperation, understanding, and mutual contacts in order to achieve optimal patient treatment and expand knowledge. The event is organized by the Serbian Association for Skin Cancer, with the mission of reducing skin cancer-related morbidity and mortality, bringing together all experts in the field who are engaged in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of skin cancer patients, as well as education in all aspects of this field, particularly in dermoscopy. At our congress, for the first time in our country and the region, a multi-year project on teledermoscopy will be presented, and experiences and recommendations will be shared.

Belgrade is the capital and largest city of Serbia. It is located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers and at the crossroads of the Pannonian Plain and the Balkan Peninsula. The population of the Belgrade metropolitan area is 1,681,405 according to the 2022 census. It is one of the major cities of Southeast Europe and the third most populous city on the Danube river. Belgrade is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Europe and the world. One of the most important prehistoric cultures of Europe, the Vinca culture, evolved within the Belgrade area in the 6th millennium BC.

Belgrade has one of the biggest Universities in the Balkans and adds the freshness of youth, originality, innovation and progressiveness to the city. In this city we hope that we will meet again and deepen our friendly ties by the occasion of a very interesting and stimulating conference, where important and “hot” topics of skin cancer treatment will be presented by a multitude of experts and broadly renowned colleagues coming from our region and other European countries.
